Yeah in the 80's and 90's when you could actually play defense.The Seahawks have the best defense in this era of football and they gave up over 400 yards passing and 4 td's in the Super Bowl..you can't hold offenses down like you used to especially the passing game

As far as the running game the Seahawks are the only team in years that's won the Super Bowl where the offense is about the running game

The Seahawks QB is also a huge part of their running attack. Wilson's a unique player.

If anyone's argument is that a position is the most important simply because "they touch the ball every down", then by simple logic both qb and center are the most important positions.

I'd believe you if my Panthers didn't start Vinny Testaverde.

We literally had a RB playing QB and taking snaps instead of putting a practice squad bum out there - at any other position in football, you can get away with that. At QB? No. Not in games that matter.

edit: Falcons. I ain't forgot :umad::banderas:
I just said - if your qb is an utter bum or elite, that changes things

and what do Falcons have to do with my post? :dahell: or are you referring them because you think they had a rb at qb?

So explain hoe the seahawks have allowed like only 5 300 yard passers in like 50+ games, including this superbowl and all playoffs

Elite QBs arent overrated. Guys like Brady, Peyton and ARod have their teams in contention every year regardless of what is happening around them. You run into problems when you pay/treat the Culters and Staffords of the world like they are on that level. Mediocre-pretty good QBs are coddled too much and treated like they are untouchable or irreplaceable regardless of how they actually perform far too often.

This guy not only believes that QB isn't the most vital, but then of all positions puts RB and WR over them?

:mjlol:

One of my favorite all-time players is a WR, but I have no problem admitting that it's one of the least important positions on the field. And RB is easily the most overrated position by far.

QB is easily the most important, and I'd take a next-level DE/OT over a WR/RB any day.

RB isn't the most overrated. It's the one filled with the most talented individuals. Look at it like this. PG is more than likely the smallest player on the court, yet their are hardly any flat out scrubs at the position. Now by the time you get to Center look at how many stiffs you can find.

In general the more people than can compete at a position the better the players are. At running back you can be 5'7" - 6'2" no other position in football is like that.
