You need to be committed. Go to the tattoo shop and get some face tats.

Post them when your finished.

Don't listen to the haters. You can do it. You just need some face tats

Remember to get the face tats like I said and post them when you are finished. You can used Imgur to upload the pictures.

Is that what people mean when they say quit rapping? Do they mean to just give up trying to make a career of rapping while the person has no job? Or do they just mean quit rapping even if they have a job and are getting older?

As long as you doing something that's bringing in money you don't have to stop at any point. But If you're 30+ still chasing rap fame and not bringing in any money on the side u need to sit your ass down.

I've done a lot of marketing work for indie artists in ATL, a few of them went on to get deals (no superstars though)...

you should quit if you don't have the following:

- an undeniable banger that has total strangers doing this :ehh::ohhh: -
- a budget big enough to market your music and videos outside of social media

- know somebody who has an industry connection

if you're just recording music, throwing it on social media and averaging just a few hundred streams/views, you're not going anywhere

What advice do you give to people who aren't good rappers, but decent songwriters who want to create a hip hop feel? With rock.

Look at the stats. When I go into the city, I am regularly stopped by dudes - some in their 30s, if appearances are to be believed - hawking mixtapes. Almost none of them will have successful careers in the industry. However, I know plenty of dudes who make a great living building an underground movement that sees them perform and enjoy support from people around the globe. It depends on what kind of artist you are trying to be. :francis:

if you feel like you MUST do this - then do what I suggested; put some music out and gauge the feedback.

if the feedback is strong (and not just coming from your facebook friends :comeon:) then keep going

also make moves behind the scenes; try getting your music placed ANYWHERE where you can collect a check from it.

if nobody is feeling your music, then go do something else..

Don’t drop out nikka. There ain’t no 60 year old rappers. Get that degree, get them certs or start that business.
I get what you saying, but .....

The so called legends of th ge game are all pushing 50.

They still do tours, and get paid for doing it. There's a market out there .

In 10 years you will see 60 yr old rappers.

I was just saying this to myself. This is the first generation of 60+ rappers. Still can't imagine it.
