Have you done any shows and is it hard for you to write songs?
No I'm just now getting started as an artist and beginning to put stuff out there and I'm 25, even though I've been writing since I was like 16. I've also been producing since I was about 20.

Truthfully I didn't even have the courage until now to start putting myself out there because of my shyness and being scared of criticism. But I know I can't let it hold me back anymore. :yeshrug:

I mean besides making more money of course. The perks of being famous, the hook ups the bytches, legacy, etc.

Some people have a change in lives, not everyone wants to be a rapper since they were little, maybe they started late and do rap on the side and finally blew up.

Everyone is always told don't be a rapper, etc, but most don't realize there's only a little time to become that, so maybe they had a change of heart.

Rick Ross ain't drop his first album until 30.

The funny thing is, some of the real legends in hip hop that rap today weren't known until their mid 20s or later.

I think you mean 30 is grown but I think 35 is the cut off to start rapping. What 30 year old don't want all those perks.

I feel with how today is, you have a better chance than before.

It could, for sure. I just don't understand why anyone who is actually grown would want to be a celebrity if they weren't already.

People start at different times. What do you know about 30 year old rappers or older rappers trying to get in the game? Is it possible?

Most of the nikkas that's hot and at the top of the genre are in there 30's and 40's. But they all had to put in work for many years before they popped like that. While not likely it's certainly possible, especially with it only taking one song for someone to blow these days. :yeshrug:

Good bro and pursue your passion. I'm trying to get better at writing myself to incorporate it into my music. What are your tips?

I think you can give up the idea of it becoming a career after a certain age...maybe like 25, but there is nothing wrong with making rap can a side hustle. Push the local scene and perform in some small concerts. Get some steady performances or make some "positive" rap incorporated with learning and try to target it to public schools. I think it's way to age rap aspirations if people would be flexible and realistic.

Definitely more opportunity especially for niche and "older" artists. I wouldn't tell anyone not to go for their dream or stop grinding. I'm just saying that it's still pretty unlikely that someone from completely outside the industry is gonna blow up. They can eat tho.

And if we're being honest, a lot of folks are just rapping to rap. it's not a career/hustle for them, nor is it an art form. There's a difference between someone with a plan and a network getting in the game, and somebody just trying to do it because it looks cool. The latter group needs to give it up or keep it in perspective (the pop star dream, that is). And who knows, maybe that humility will be what gets them in the door.
