I think you should always be working on a backup plan, or treat rapping as a hobby and if it grows into a career then so be it.

You don't have to give up at a certain age, you're not in the same place at 25 as someone else is at 25. There are other signs you should look for that will let you know when it's time to hang it up.

Its depends on how old you are now and what stage you're at in your music career. I always said an aspiring rapper shouldn't be pushing 30 still trying to get known. You gotta think, its really levels to this shyt. If you dont have connects or a decent sized fanbase it'll be extremely hard to break in pushing 30. You also have to understand hip hop is a young mans game. Only if you've been successful since you were younger, a lot of people dont want to hear older rappers they don't know

He might be a meme or whatever, but he got further than many people wish they could. He got enough money to fix his teeth that he never could have paid off before.

Just don't put all of your time into it really do that shyt on the side.

Positive. I'm mainly focused on my Pharmacy Tech thing now. My goal is to stay in it two years. Meanwhile, during those two years I'll be taking my A+ and Network+ exams. Cop a Fitness cert for side hustle money.

Most rappers dont pop until mid-late 20s. I'd say 30. If you aint started by atleast 24, then shyt is likely a dub :yeshrug:

This.

This is actually my mindset now, I can truly say rapping is something I'll always do regardless if I ever become big or not because I just love doing it.

The thing is nowadays nikkas don't even rap out of love for the art form anymore, they just do it for money and attention.

Like the gawd said "when its real you doing this even without a record contract: :ahh:

In this day and age, never stop. Anyone can have a home studio and buy/find/make beats. From there, just get on or produce local shows. Be likeable and have merch and a car. Voila. Ain't gotta be rich to rap. If u can make 5k a year as a rapper, that's a legit side hustle.

Now if u wanna be a famous rapper? Give up at like 30 and find another lane, in the industry or otherwise.

So you don't think there's no chance for your side hustle to grow into becoming a famous rapper?
