Average D 1 starter for a major conference might look like Jordan playing against D2 or D3 talent.

I saw prime LJ dominate D1 big men, and dominate NBA 4s as a rookie...outmuscling them,dunking on them IN TRAFFIC, beating them on the break. Let's see Zion showcase this freak athleticism against grown men who are also world class athletes.



Let's not forget how strong agile and explosive LJ was.


Zion is a super athlete...but I think the breakaway dunks in college have people thinking he's better than other super athletes. He takes the floor against NBA comp. what I'm saying will become more clear.

Technically true but Barkley had ups when he came in the league. he had a 37 inch vert. Zion has a 40

Not that that has any bearing on a comparison whatsoever. If players have similarities in game they have similarities in game. But that being said, i think Zion plays PF in the NBA.

I missed LJ's prime in Charlotte but I did see him play when he was shell of himself on the Knicks but I think the comparison between him and Zion is the closest to any other comparisons made.

After LJ lost his athleticism, he wasn't the same but he did become a better shooter.

LJ at UNLV was a monster though...Diffently one of the best college b ball players ever.

If Zion can stay healthy, keep his athleticism long term combined with consistent jumper...he will be a nightmare for opponents.

Spoon wasn't as athletic as Chuck, especially mid-late 80's Chuck. Zion's best comparison right now is Julius Randle. He's closer to Randle than he is to Chuck, LJ, Kemp, but you have to see what he does when he comes into the league. It may make him look worse.

I think LJ and Rodney Rogers were more skilled, definitely by the time they got to the league, but Zion is more athletic than both of them. He just doesnt seem to be as cut up as they were. If he can stay as lean as possible and develop his skills, he could be better than LJ provided he stays healthy. the game is so different today though. he definitely doesnt have those on the block skills that were needed back then.
