This is why I made this thread, comments like this aren't based on reality

For example let's forget the stand up performances and let's focus on the shows were they had co hosts, they both did a lot of those and the topics were the same relationships and woman

I watched a lot of episodes of both of them and no way, no fukking way you gon tell me that Corey jokes weren't better

Corey is consistent with it Iam talking about damn near every line of his is funny, Patrice was giving up good game but he wasn't being that funny while doing it

Patrice didn't want to do the Hollywood song and dance. Chris Rock said he was on the short list to get Terry Crews role on Everyone Hates Chris, but he came into the audition late and without knowing the lines.

Moreover, his content, while I love it, wouldn't fly in this overly politically correct era.

I strongly believe Craig Robinson is having the career he could've had...which to that point isn't that great, but it's higher profile than Patrice ever had.

And I get that he was on Opie and Anthony, but he regularly shyt on those nikkas on their own show, and when I say shyt, I mean he shyt on them and racist white people. He regularly got into it with Anthony, the racist guests, and the racist callers.

Dude could've been a lot more, but he didn't play the Hollywood game, he admits that himself.

He would’ve been in some tv shows movies and shyt...now whether he would’ve blew is something different altogether and really isn’t based strictly off talent. Netflix would’ve threw him a bag definitely tho.

Like what has been said already, nipsey is a better example of this because outside of the internet I’ve never heard breh mentioned nor any of his music. Regional artist before he passed...

My point is, if his material “barely flew” why is it being stolen?

Corey reached the same level as him, he has a lot work with Kevin hart and Tyler perry, will packer too, so to say Patrice was way above Corey it's a reach

Even amy had to change her style with the times. But as another poster pointed out he didn't change to reach that other level even Patrice said it. That is why I said he wasn't about to blow. He reached the biggest he allowed himself to get.
