Depends who you are. If you're into it, no arguin' the abundance of culture, opportunity, diversity, etc.

But it's a very different place than most of the US. Born & raised there, other places seem quite inconvenient & inefficient. Born & raised elsewhere, NYC can be overwhelming.

People who make that much live in upstate NY or in the Tri-State area (Connecticut/N.J/Pennslyvania) & commute to NYC.

Aint nobody in thier right mind who DOESN'T live in a rent controlled apartment or own a house in the the outer counties (nassau/westchester/suffolk) would waste thier money living in the boroughs.

Most famous most influential. If you big time in nyc you big time everywhere. Seems like you need to be a millionaire to not worry about rodents and rats. That being said I love that city. But I wouldn’t move there unless I got rich.
