Milwaukee and Chicago have more in common than Philly and New York, imo.

Chi and the Mil are both lakefront cities with a lotta southern migrated black folks, who most likely have family ties or some kinda connection to both places.

Breh you need a nap:unimpressed:

We saying Detroit would be a better comparison with Chicago than Milwaukee.

Similar to Philly & NY , Philly being the smaller place but still having it's own unique style.

Detroit is Philly & Chicago is NY.

Milwaukee is a bad comparison as they don't have they own style/culture. Basically a bunch of Chicago transplant up there.

Ny typically overshadow Philly
Chicago overshadows Detroit.

Anybody saying different is a fool. Ain't nobody going to Detroit except for Casino/Strippers & Motown

I don't understand this whole overshadowing thing. I didn't know Philly and NYC were competing in overall culture. There are some sports rivalries but not as intense as with other cities like yankees and red sox, knicks and celtics or bulls, or inner city rivalries like yankees and mets, rangers and islanders, knicks and nets. Don't really think of one city when thinking of another. I never been to Milwaukee but can't compare it to Philly. Maybe NYC and Philly have some similarities but they two different cities culturally.

Everything outside of the Northeast/Atlantic corridor is...
:scusthov::scusthov::scusthov::scusthov::trash::trash:

I'll give it up to Cali too.

NYC, NJ, Philly, Bmore, DC, VA, (in between), ATL, etc. right on down the fukkin line....:ahh:

I'd never leave the coast. Different vibes and cultures, every few hours (and less). Outside of other cities Midwest over...there's NOTHING.

Just that city and that's it....

fukkin regions are trash....:umad:

I know Milwaukee is only 90 miles from Chicago. Philly is about 90 miles from New York . Does Milwaukee have the same relationship with Chicago that Philadelphia has with New York? Always being overshadowed in sports and overall culture?

I would say yes.

Others like that imo:

Portland > Seattle
Louisville > Cincinnati
Little Rock > Memphis
Omaha > Kansas City
Gump > ATL
Austin > San Antonio

Personally as a black man when I hear Midwest I think of Chicago & Detroit. When I hear East coast I think of NY & Philly.

I think that's why OP chose those places.
