Some folks really have irrational dislike of players with longevity. Mike Evans is getting into HoF. Probably not first ballot but he's getting in.

Many really underrate the ability of players in the NFL producing consistently like a machine year in year out.

Same goes for Frank Gore.

And, some folks want players that should be in the Hall of Very Good to be in the HOF.

And, you could not have picked a better player for that example tha Frank Gore. He should absolutely NOT be in the HOF. Blows my mind people think he should. A very good HB and had a long career, but absolutely not HOF caliber.

"hall of very good" exists only in your head, its just a phantom concept made up.

longevity matters in football. some players cant last half a season without injuring themselves. staying healthy and production matters

Both Gore and Evans will be in HoF :manny: deal with it

And, you clearly like players that were rarely top five at their position.

If you were a voter, you would diminish the HOF. That’s just a fact.

Evans is more worthy than Gore though.

thats a "fact" ? more like your opinion. stop presenting opinions as facts

once again, longevity matters. not sure what else to tell you. there are RBs who cant play after like three seasons in the league. there are WRs who had their entire careers derailed because they couldnt stay healthy

having production matters. if you're top 10 in volume production you're gonna be in HoF
Mike Evans is top 10 WR all time in touchdowns. everyone else in like top 15 is in HoF

youre too fixated on "he wasnt top 5 at any time" who cares ?

you follow baseball right ? the toughest hall to get into.
how many players who have 3k+ hits are not in HoF (pete rose not in for obvious reasons) ?
literally all the baseball players with 3k hits, all 33 of them are or will be in the hall eventually

No,

I’m not too fixated on that. It’s much more important than compiling stats for 15+ years.

There is no universe where Gore should make the HOF. It would absolutely leave a stain if he were inducted.

The HOF should be for the elite, not the very good compilers.

You’re better than this.

Evans is averaging 15.4 yards per catch for his career which is elite.

Then there’s who is throwing the ball to him. **** played with great quarterback play for the bulk of his career.

Evans has over 1,000 yards this year with 5 games left playing with Baker Mayfield.

Baker Mayfield is well above average since he's been in Tampa.

@BucciMane I agree with you. How can Gore be a HOFer, when Corey Dillon was better? Shaun Alexander and Priest Holmes were, too.

I am firmly a person who believes peak and prime are more important than longevity. I don’t get how people value longevity more than a high peak and prime. It is absolutely absurd.
