did torry ****, reggie wayne, steve smith have 100 receiving tds?

at age 31 steve smith had 8,500 yards and 52 tds
at age 31 reggie wayne had 9,353 and 63 tds
at age 31 torry **** had 11,927 yard and 71 tds
at age 31 mike evans has 12684 and 105 tds
Mike Evans benefits from playing in a pass happy league that favors offense. The other 3 played when you could actually play defense.

All that and Mike still not a better receiver then all 3, his numbers are going to be better due to the pass happy era. Numbers ain't everything especially when you seen it firsthand.

Look Mike will make it, but the HOF waiting list is loaded with more talented WR's then him so when people say he's first ballot I think they trolling.

Because he is First ballot he's not even retired yet and still has numbers for the HOF

Two more 1,000 yard seasons and he's top 10 all time in receiving yards, 15 more receiving tds and he's top 5 ALL TIME in receiving tds

only on the coli is this not first ballot :mjlol: and dude might play till he's like 35

5 seasons where he has 1,004, 1,005, 1,006, 1,035, 1,001 yards while playing just about every game...

The NFL went to 17 games in 2021, it's easy for a wide receiver to get to 1000 yards

Him basically being Ironman will get him those numbers, but he's not amongst the elite of his position.

Can you even say his top 10 right now with a straight face?

I respect.what youre saying, but Mike got drafted in 2014. Pinball era started in 2011. Steve and Reggie were drafted in 2001, while Torry was drafted in 99. Cant compare raw numbers from different eras. There are analytics that do measure that, though. Also Steve has a Triple Crown, while Torry and Reggie both led the league in receiving yards(99/07)

He played 16 in 2021 without the extra game it would be 15
He played 15 in 2022 without the extra game it would be 14
He played 17 in 2023 without the extra game it would be 16
He played 14 this year without the extra game it would be 13

Without the extra game this year does he hit 1,000 no, in 2021 when he had 1,035 does he get it without the extra probably not. Him and every wide receiver currently in the league numbers are benefiting from the extra game.

The wide receivers doing it in 2004 and 2008 were way more impressive to me considering what the defender was allowed to do and teams back then actually having running backs run the ball majority of the game.

exactly

If he stays reasonably healthy for the next few seasons, I expect him to end up with over 16,000 yards and over 130 TDs.
No one will ever call him the GOAT WR, but he might as well be the most consistent WR after Jerry Rice. He never had a bad season like TO did post Super Bowl or Moss when he was on the Raiders.
Just because the hating ass media denied to vote TO in on the 1st ballot HOFer doesn't mean that 1st ballot is only reserved for WRs like Rice, Moss or Larry Fitz. One can argue that Mike already has a more successful/fulfilling career than Megatron, who deservedly made the Hall on the 1st ballot.

Eye test my ass ask any football analyst who’s better and they would tell you and evidently you care since you took the time to make this post.

The Hall of Very Good.

Exactly.

I'm really surprised how many people here and on social media say he's a sure fire HOF player and should be first ballot.

You should need to have been dominant and at the VERY top of your position when you played to get in. People are all hung up on this 1,000 yard statistic. The main factor for him is his sustained longevity of being very good.

Which of the following players that played while Evans has played are you taking him over when at their best? I'm not saying all of these players were better than him or had a better career, but which would you take Evans over at their best?

Megatron
D-Hop
Steve Smith Sr.
OBJ
Dez
Demaryius Thomas
Julio
Antonio Brown
Fitzgerald
Slant Boy
Diggs
Keenan Allen
Tyreek
Devante Adams
Kupp
Jefferson
Chase
Lamb
St. Brown

Evans has had better careers than some of those listed and may be better than some listed, but a lot of those players were clearly better at their peak and in their prime. The HOF should be about the most elite, not just the most consistently very good players.

That’s all I’m saying it’s not that deep, all listed have a better prime then him.
