See this is our fukking problem, we got coaches and staff that want the RAIDERS, to be these other teams. I'm tired of us getting other teams left overs.

:smh:

Gets compared to Sherman a lot?

That's why he was cut and he was not on a team til now huh? Hate these sensationalized headlines :mjlol:

Kinda agree. I feel stability is one of the biggest issues with this team. I would not get rid of Del Rio just yet. I'd give him all of this year and next.

People calling for Del Rio's head are being very unreasonable.

He just guided the Raiders to a 12-4 season (their best record since 2000) and their first playoff birth since 2002. He may not be Bill Belichick, but he's gotten results.

The last thing the Raiders need is to get back into their cycle of firing coaches every two years and enduring a string of 4-12 and 3-13 seasons. They need some stability.

Instead of everyone being shocked by the Raiders' downward spiral, perhaps it is time to face up to a different reality: they won a bunch of close games last year, and they could have easily ended up 8-8 or 9-7 instead of 12-4.

So maybe this isn't a team with 13-3 talent that is underachieving. Maybe they have middle-of-the-pack type talent, and all they need is a win to get back on track in terms of where they could reasonable expect to be.

I agree with the first statement but disagree with the second

I think we are an elite talent team but also lucky to win about 4 games last year. I think both can apply. On offense, we should be one of the top 3 most explosive offenses in the league. Defensive talent isn't great, especially at the corner positions, but it solid enough that if we had a good coordinator we'd be able to avoid a lot of these big plays all the time.

I used to have the same opinion as you regarding the offense, but

1. It's looking more and more like Amari Cooper may not have the kinds of skills and potential that we thought

2. Carr showed last year that he could lead an excellent offense under the right circumstances. But it is disturbing how his play levels off when he isn't getting excellent protection. It is also disturbing that he often looks like an Alex Smith dink-and-dunk QB.

3. It looks like Lynch might not have as much left in the tank as we hoped
