Most teams don't trade players of Mack's caliber, but this was a very unique situation. I've always contended the Mack trade is better for the team long term. Nobody wants to sit through a rebuild. Nobody. But that's where the team is. Keeping Mack, eating up all that salary, would've made a rebuild even more difficult. I'm honest about this team's talent level. We might've won a couple more games this year with Mack, but in the long scheme, that's not gonna make us any better. As a fan it's easier to sit through 7-9/8-8 seasons than it is to sit through 3-13 seasons, but in a lot of cases, the latter is better for your future. Being middle of the pack is no good.never seen a team.trade a player of mack caliber as a catalyst to a great rebuild
i strongly disagree. bears 1sts are not going to be that high, and you dont move players like mack. I think this trade will get looked back as one of the woat trades when it's all said and doneMost teams don't trade players of Mack's caliber, but this was a very unique situation. No point in arguing something neither of us can prove, we will wait and see.i strongly disagree. bears 1sts are not going to be that high, and you dont move players like mack. I think this trade will get looked back as one of the woat trades when it's all said and done
and I don't think Gruden has a history of drafting well either
Reggie sitting back smiling knowing that he got a few more years at his spot because everyone blaming Gruden not remembering Reggies contributions.
Turned off the game after the first. They really ran right through us. The couple pieces away were easy fixes too. Competent cornerbacks and line backers that could cover tight ends
Mark being broke (relatively speaking) in the long run really fukked up this team. Be so unwilling to sell a small portion of the team that you diminish the momentum you had bowl cut brahs. All things considered, they did right by Mack. Really fukked up hiring Gruden especially if he stated they needed to rebuild. For that you could of gotten someone way cheaper since you knew the next couple seasons were gonna be trash. Carr has had 3 or 4 different offenses to learn plus the broken leg. Writing is on the wall for him. He mentioned that he feels far more comfortable since Gruden came on but he still has regressed. I know Cooper gone end of the year and prolly gonna ball out while we end up with a 2nd for him at best. That’s why I don’t agree with @FreshAIG saying this team needed a rebuild. This team needed to add some help for Mack and get.m Carr a true #1. Improvements to the line could be made gradually through the draft.
We’re in rebuild mode because gruden is an egomaniac, reggie is incompetent, and mark is broke and trying to save for his expensive move to the 41st ranked TV market in America.
This is how I see it, we had one good season in 15 years and that year (2016) we had like a good 4-5 miracle wins and like 7 comeback wins. Last year we were 6-10. We all universally on this board talked about how horrendous this defense wasThat’s why I don’t agree with @FreshAIG saying this team needed a rebuild.
