1 100 yard game is showing up?:childplease:

if anything he set the offense back. this is a pass first team. they tried all season to make him the focal point when he's prolly like the 5th best player on offense at best. i admit he got better later, but the team would have been off to a way better start if his run stuffs weren't constantly putting the team in 2nd and 3rd and long situations. then you got him helping rivals and shyt. :camby: that nikka could go. i like Marshawn too, but if we being real, nothing positive has come from him joining the team. big downgrade from Murray. :manny:

Which brings up another point have we been using Smith in the wrong scheme this whole time?? Dude under Pagano has been balling the fukk out. Its like Nmandi moving to a different system and totally getting annihilated.

Shut Jeffery down and Dez last week:wow:

He does well against the bigger WRs. Dumb to match him up on small speedy WRs like Norton was doing

nah the problem is that all year they weren't making him the focal point. There were plenty of games where Lynch was getting like 10-15 touches at the most. You can't have that. Lynch gets better the more you feed him.

You been watching the games breh? He has the most broken tackles and already has more yards than Murray did last year with limited touches. He almost got 100 yds rushing vs the best rushing defense last night which is impressive considering the Eagles knew all Carr can do is throw 3 yard routes right now smh. We should've won last night but Carr being a bum killed us.

more yards than Murray and more losses as well. Marshawn strengths don't suit the lines strength. changing the entire running scheme for 1 man is making him the focal point.

not entirely. but indirectly he's a big part of the offenses regression. lynch brought zone blocking.

don't know why we're pretending otherwise all of a sudden.

I wonder how much you follow the Raiders breh, while Lynch came from a zone blocking scheme in Seattle, Lynch is just as effective in power blocking as well.

Power blocking major key to resurgence of Marshawn Lynch, Raiders running game

Again, Lynch isn't the issue, it's our offense scheme in general plus Carr's severe regression.

''Why is offensive coordinator Todd Downing went to a predominantly zone-blocking scheme is a bit of a mystery. Zone blocking is made for smaller more athletic O-lineman while the bigger guys tend to afit power blocking. This is why the Raiders were ranked No. 6 running the ball last year with Latavius Murray and No. 25 with Lynch as the primary back.

Some say Downing used the zone-blocking scheme to fit Lynch but there’s no need there. Lynch used to beg for power-blocking plays in Seattle and if you look at his best runs in Seattle, they came on powers. And yet as soon as the Raiders got him, Downing inexplicably uses his power-blocking line to zone block. That’s as big a crime as not giving Lynch the ball enough early in the season.

If you look at the 51-yard touchdown run, Osemele pulled from left to right, signifying it was a power. That run helped him to reach his first 100-yard game as a Raider (101 yards).

According to Pro Football Focus, Lynch has only run seven power-blocking plays this season and those plays have gone for 77 yards (11 yards per carry).

Lynch has done his part all along and is among the league’s leaders in yards after contact and forced missed tackles per attempt. He just wasn’t able to show what he still had until his O-line is started doing what they do best (power blocking). Perhaps Downing should put in more power-blocking plays for his offense.''

Lynch has been the only thing good about our offense.

Breh Lynch can run behind any scheme, blame downing for doing that bs shift w/our offensive line. And it doesn't change the fact that lynch was not getting the ball enough throughout the season.

how about you post some articles that talk about how closely he worked with tice and the oline.

more carries or not lynch was a factor for most the year. Patterson has been the best player on offense. :manny:

Just because you work closely with the oline and tice doesn't mean anything, I'd hope any rb works with their oline. It still doesn't change the fact that Lynch can run behind any scheme. Our oline strength isn't zone blocking it's power blocking, but regardless Lynch can do it all, and it's a crime he didn't get the ball as much throughout the year. Again he still had the most broken tackles with the limited burn he's been getting all year until now, which is too late. Downing is a bum who seemingly thought he'd outsmart opponents with his dumb playcalling when we're built for smashmouth football.

I like Patterson but he's a one trick pony for the most part. Lynch has been our best offensive skill player all year.
