And with the Chiefs' victory over the Dolphins, the Raiders are officially eliminated from the playoff race, per ESPN Stats & Information. The Raiders needed wins from the Ravens (check), Patriots (check), Rams (check) and Dolphins (no dice) to stay alive this week before playing at Philadelphia Monday night and, of course, they had to beat the Eagles. Then Oakland would have needed the Jaguars and Dolphins to win next week before the Raiders would have had to beat the Chargers. Alas, the Raiders (6-8) are still in danger of finishing in last place in the AFC West, if they lose to the Eagles and Chargers, and if the Broncos beat the Chiefs, who clinched the division by beating Miami. Perhaps most stunning in the Bay Area, they could finish with the same record as the 49ers at 6-10 after the Niners started out 0-9.

To be fair the Raiders more than any other team I’m a fan of have a pretty quick trigger on firing people so I wouldn’t be shocked if they got Del Rio out of here.I bet Del Rio sees out his contract.
