This type of shyt is so dumb, you can't compare people from completely different eras like it's a 1:1 comparison. The industry when Sting was doing his thing is wildly different to today's industry. Even from when Sting was in TNA to today is wildly different. Not just the wrestling industry, but the entertainment landscape as a whole. You can take one of the top draws from the 70s and compare him to a random mid carder today and Dave could make the argument that, say, Kevin Owens is a bigger draw than Terry Funk based on the size shows he worked on in ROH/NXT/WWE and merch sales without taking into account how completely different merch was and venues were in one prime versus another.
Is Kenny Omega a bigger draw than Sting? Davy Smeltzer seems to be hinting so

That’s the thing, Sting was a top star in a Top 2 US promotion twice (WCW/TNA), wrestled at Starrcade, BFG, and WrestleMania (which I believe Hogan was the only other one to do so), Kenny hasn’t done that yet so to say he’s a bigger draw than Sting is a big reach.

Actually, Starrcade was in the Tokyo Dome in 1991 and drew significantly more with Sting/Muta and Fujinami/Flair than Kenny/Okada and Naito/Tanahashi did

Not sure if you can compare today to like twenty years ago, especially using TNA that never had much of a crowd and stayed in one place. I also think WCW didn't go too many places either. Didn't they have a handful of arenas that they did most of their shows in? How big of a draw was Sting in comparison to like the NWO, Savage, Hogan, etc.? Don't remember much really of how the sales were looking during their run. And then Omega really hasn't had as much US shows to compare either. Has he even wrestled more than 20 matches over here? Can't really compare them until Omega gets a title run over here. Do wonder how Sting would've done if he came to WWE after the buyout. Could've definitely been a mid-top tier guy. Maybe not Austin and Rock levels but close enough.
