Those of you on the Kawhi = Superstar bandwagon, do y'all think if he actually was the #1 option/focus on offense that he would still be the consistent defensive force that he is night in, night out? Y'all don't think it's easier to be a lock down defender as long as you don't have to carry an offense?

Leading his team in scoring right now and doesnt play with a westbrook, irving, caliber offensive teammate

Talent wise he is, but being a "superstar" has just as much to do with marketability as it does talent. It took the league a while to come to grips with the fact that Duncan was a superstar too because of his personality, or lack thereof, but when you can ball they cant deny you

leonard isn't a superstar, but yall still stan for duncan as if he's the star of the team.

the spurs depend on leonard more than any other player and did shyt without him earlier in the season. he's a superstar and the reason duncan has 5 rings.

No, he plays with probably the most complete team in the league and maybe the best example of "the whole being greater than the sum of the parts" in league history, and plays for the best coach in the game currently and very possibly ever, alongside a group of guys who have been playing in big games since he was in middle school. Let's not act like he's in some unfavorable position.

He is a star, not on lebron/durant/curry tier...but him being a 2 way player makes him so valuable.

he's a star. not a superstar yet but if he can maintain the level he's playing at in these playoffs then there's no doubt he'll reach that level.

Leonard the reason Duncan got his first 4 rings? :mjlol:

how the fukk did you get that from what i said? "leonard is the reason he has FIVE rings", how many rings did he have before last year? 4. leonard was a major reason why he GOT FIVE. if he doesn't have FIVE RINGS, then he has FOUR, not zero.

the fact i gotta explain this is sad. :stopitslime:

edit: just to clarify again before you guys start tripping again, no i don't think the spurs could have won last year without duncan(or any of the years for that matter), but Leonard was the cog last year and this year that made the Spurs as great as they are.
