Not really the same, considering that's more about identifying ones nationalism, rather than their race. If you were to say someone like Idris was Black American, at least when he was first off the boat and shyt, then nah, you'd be wrong of course, since he was from overseas. He still stating he's black tho, just that he happens to be from Britain (or whatever European country he hails from).

But ADOS/FBA the only ones who classify themselves as such. Nigerians are Nigerians. Jamaicans are Jamaican. Cubans are Cubans. None of those "black" people self identify as black. However, the "Black Codes", "I'm black and I'm proud", "Black Power", etc all were meant for and proclaimed by the only people that self identify as black......ADOS/FBA.
