I really was questioning how someone could do one great thing and never anything else AND still be considered a top comedian. Jim Carey ain’t no top comedian even with all his hit comedic acting jobs. Eddie Murphy got money and hits and still making them. Carlin had classicS. Pryor had classicS.

I really was marveled that when you really break it down, this man acted in one show and was hosted FOREVER. Archie bunker didn’t do that. Feel me? That’s all. I wasn’t trying to shyt on him. Thread devolved into me having to explain one hit wonder 50 times

As for the topic everyone is low key proving the OP point by repeatedly pointing out Jerry didn't need to go anything else and has lots of money.

Doesn't mean Seinfeld was trash it's one of my favorite shows ever or that Jerry is a evil person.

He’s explaining my point. Saying seinfeld the show is the classic but not Jerry. That’s why he’s one hit. Cause he’s not there for a body of work. Just for seinfeld.

But in reality, he’s on every top comendian list, even in 2021… and none of it is based on actual stand up comedy

You can't be called a 1 hit wonder if you have 9 good to great seasons of a show. If Seinfeld only had 1 good season then he could be considered a 1 hit wonder. 9 seasons is a body of work that is most comparable to a album not 1 single song. For example if 50 Cent didn't release another album after GRODT, Snoop didn't release another album after Doggy Style or The Game didn't release another album after The Documentary then they wouldn't be called a 1 hit wonder because they had multiple hit songs on their 1st album.
