It's not a compliment when women are called "strong" as it has been historically a male feature

It implies that she wants the role of a man

You can keep that.... give me a woman that wants a man and not one who wants to be the man.

A woman can be described in many different ways.... strong is a red flag
this.

sounds about as off as attributing emotional to male.

But they never specified their race. Why do u think that is :lupe:
::stopitslime:Either you're playing dumb or you're slow. Black people make strong identifications in terms of race because they were oppressed on that basis. We readily talk about the 'black power' movement but there was never a need for an 'Asian power' or 'Samoan power' or 'White power' (though that didn't stop em :mjpls:)

When someone says that they're simply defining that quality in terms of their racial background, nothing more than that.

Why don't Indian women say "I'm a strong indian woman" or Mexican women say "I'm a strong Mexican woman" :lupe:

His playing dumb. Why does every successful black man mention his race when telling his story :mjpls:

So we're going to pretend only black women use the word 'black' when identifying themselves.

Yea right. :mjpls:

Isn't this common sense ?

The same reason black men say 'I am a black doctor' and white doctors don't call themselves 'white doctors'

The same reason people call black billionaire's 'black billionaire'' while white billionaires are simply billionaires.

You just woke up in 2013 and realised us black's mention our race where other races don't.

I have never heard a nikka say some shyt like "I'm a black doctor" :manny:

Why don't Indian women say "I'm a strong indian woman" or Mexican women say "I'm a strong Mexican woman" :lupe:
:snoop: re-read my post.

Because they were not systematically oppressed on the basis of their ethnicities for centuries, so they don't make strong identifications on that basis. (letsignore the fact that Mexican and Indian aren't 'races'.

Why don't Iraqi, Saudi Arabian, Iranian women say " I'm a strong........." these women have been systematically opressed and treated like 2nd clas citicenz for generations and still are.

Explain that :lupe:

We talk with pride about the first black heart surgeon, first black congerssman and first black president, no discrepancy in black women doing the same.

Why would a woman want to be known as a "strong woman"?

This implies you don't need a man. It's a red flag. No sensible man is going to want to be with a woman who acts as if she doesn't need him.

No sensible man is going to be with a woman who feels that she is strong enough to challenge him for head of the household

Ladies, find another way to describe yourselves if you use such a word. Say "focused", "ambitious", or any adjective that positively describes you, but stop using words to describe yourself that make you seem aggressive, combative, and non-cooperative/compromising

Cause that's what I hear when I hear the word strong.
