Jadakiss pops told you about Jada already 🤣. Salute to that man

before jadakiss pops told us jada told us himself on his first album

I grew up very athletic, hard headed
Thought I knew everything, wanted to do everything
I was spoiled, stubborn, the only child
So the only thing I could do was hold it down
Now this is something that I could tell you that's no bullshyt
I always been wicked with the flow since a lil kid
My first addiction, GI Joes and icies
After that it was light skinned girls and Nikes
Breeze through junior high school, then high school
Couple of semesters of college and then night school
Moms start riffing, talking 'bout how she can't support a grown man
So the god start flipping
Pops used to say shyt, but never to me much
Was like he wasn't even there 'cause we ain't agree much
Used to be gone for whole weeks at a time
Puffin one eleven, used to roll three out a dime
Then I found myself sleeping in late, doing nothing
fukking, running with the nikkas that was hustling

50 cent told us about the lox on first album too

"All the other hard nggaz come from Yonkers"

All these rappers sold bricks. The Lox, Cam, Jim Jones, 50, Yayo, Mega, Beanie Sigel, and so on. It's not as big a thing in those circles as people on the outside of them make it out to be. Plenty of them took advance money and bought kilos. That's not just rap music.

Just put a rough number on it, like 20k a kilo in 1997, whatever, maybe 25 maybe 15k, not that much money, and all these guys made money like that. It's right there in the songs. Not the obviously imaginative rap shyt, but Jada raps like "give me all my royalties and let me re', and I'm'a have o's for 6 and half's for 3", that's straight coke talk, that's regular shyt. I was buying and selling at those numbers when I was in high school around 2003.

DMX took them under his wing so I don’t think they faked what they rapped about. 90% of what everyone says in their rhymes is all fabricated in some way.

U going off a nikka raps? Lol .50 and mega the only ones that's confirmed by other certified street nikkas/legends. Cam and Jim and lox is just nikkas from the hood. No real gangsters ever claimed them(cam/Jim) outside of extortion. Jada never been locked up had both parents went to school been to college and was still a gangster? nikka only Tariq can pull that shyt off lol. It don't work like that in real life. Not saying he a hoe but it's levels to this shyt.

styles was the only one in the group that potrayed himself as a gangsta

jada was more da fly nikka who sold bricks. he had violent bars in a fabolous kind of way, while styles had aggressive bars in a mobb deep kinda way. dIfferent type of styles.

Sheek was kind of a mixture of both, and had an comedic style to his bars, that nikka funny as hell lol

jada going to a private school is a little shocking, but because he never portrayed himself as a over the top gangster anyway, i dont think it matters that much

I'm not an eyewitness, but I am saying they moved bricks. If you in those circles, that's normal hood shyt. Doesn't make you a kingpin. Doesn't make you rich off cocaine.

50 also a rat. shotout to nas for not leaving that part out of the supreme team doc

lox been official. only rappers on the east who actually sold drugs and promoted it in they records
You know it’s suspect when nggas use language like ‘official’. :pachaha:Lox is just some hood nggas.

With the benefit of hindsight we now see who was doin what ….by way of who they were connected with. And sad to say, but who got killed and who went to jail. You’re not off iso if one of those things didn’t happen around you

-Jay- his main man to this day served a bid. And not in NY, and Emory is not from NY. Emory is from Maryland. Jay was doin exactly what he said he was up n down the east coast. Dehaven did a bid. Klein is a known figure…OG Juan- Even while cam dissed tf outta jay he made a point to cop a plea to Juan :whoa:

-Jim Jones- Mel matrix ended up being leader of the whole blood set

-Cam- well documented and we now know this Ngga was movin weight well into the 00s in Ohio.

-Prodigy- Mobb Deep really was like that. Tied to E Money Bags, Black Just, etc

-50- came up under Black Just

-Fat Joe- BEEN connected with the Latin kings. Pistol Pete out and I don’t even think people know how much of a goon he was

What name is ever tied to the Lox?!?!? They were just hood nggas. The music fooled people

Only when you are a kid, like under 15-17 should you think rappers were being anything more than creative nonfiction with the bars. Especially like Fab, Jada, Cam, these dudes killed 1000 people in their bars and hung people from helicopters. There's a point where it's just music, but the idea that these guys weren't selling work and carrying pistols, and sometimes shooting them is laughable.
