Sounds like the OP hating but having a soft schedule doesn't mean shyt come playoff time. It comes back to haunt you because yu haven't been battle tested
Its not what you do but how you do it. Alex Smith has way more talent at his disposal than Cutler...that's why he get crap talked about him.

Do you know the definition of mediocre is not satisfactory, poor or inferior? Do you also know the average of points last year was 22? Sounds like when we played average defense we had a good chance of winning, and if we played BETTER than average, we had a great chance of winning with minimal offense. As far as the defense being old, it's speculation...we don't even know how they will play, and the reviews from camp are great other then Urlacher, and they haven't even seen him. All i'm saying is: the hype is warranted;and if it's a one and done game in playoffs, i'm sure there are a lot of other teams people would rather see then the Bears. That's all:
Any team you played who was decent put up big points on you, you beat the likes of Tampa, Minnesota, Carolina, Philly and San Diego to get 5 of those 7 wins, not a winning team in there.
So basically you had about 2 quality wins in 10 games. You were inconsistent throughout that stretch and Cutler only managed 13 tds in them games and he was playings against some of the worst defenses in the league.

These are the teams you played and Cutler only mustered up 13 TDs, also he was 18th in the league in yardds per game
The Bears were 7-3 before Culter went down. Would have easily been 11-5, possibly 12-4 had Cutler and Forte not got hurt. Forte is easily a top 3 all around back in the league, added a legit #1 in Marshall, and another big target in Alshon Jeffery, got rid of Mike Martz and his constant 5-7 step dropbacks. The O-line was starting to gel towards the end of the year, and the defense, while aging, is still solid. Barring significant injuries to key players I guarantee the Bears will be in the playoffs
