Is it me, or are the Bears the media darlings of this year?

It seems like you can't turn on the TV without someone saying how they think the Bears are going to do great this year.

I ask, why? I know they got Marshall, but Forte coming off a legit injury, Urlacher is supposedly still struggling with knee problems. And Cutler is the king of inconsistency.

I just don't see the hype.

All I've been seeing is Jets coverage nonstop. Although the Bears do look good on paper

I`m not talking about coverage, I mean the media is picking the Bears to do damage.

They seem to be the "it" team to get behind right now.

The Jets are just a bunch of sideshow clowns that make for good TV

I see them at about maybe 8 or 9 wins. I just don't know about Forte yet

Somebody on E!spn was saying they`re super bowl caliber.

well don't forget they signed mike bush for insurance. very underrated pickup.

i think the bears are one of the more balanced teams in the NFC.

They were in the NFC Championship Game 18 months ago and have upgraded at WR

But their defense isn't as good and their o-line is suspect. Cutler played better last year though, he cut down on red zone INTs

But, the Norris belongs to the Packers :smugfavre:

sounds like the packers defense :mjpls:

I line should be better if carimi pans out at tackle. The bears were just decimated by injuries at the most important positions last year. Forte is fine. He could have came back last season if they were playing for something, but why risk it when he was still on that shyt contract at the time?

I really don't think that's the only thing they were missing.

I think people believe there defense is good because it's the Bears, but there defense really aint much at all, it actually aint shyt and it's old.

I might agree, just that they're balanced to the middle.

Defense was 17th in the league in ypg and 14th in ppg while the offense was 24th in ypg and 17th in ppg.

They just don't seem that great honestly. I guess people really are goo goo over the Marshall deal-

Yup

I'm liking the Campbell signing too. Hopefully he wont have to see the field tho

with that offensive line and cutler being injury prone im pretty sure he will.

Is a softy schedule, maybe that's why.

They might end up with a decent record but not be dangerous to anyone good.

Do you nikkas realize the OC had much to do with Cutty gettin killed as well. If that line still struggle with Mike Tice as the new OC, then somebody getting they ass fired.

All in all I aint too worried bout that line, they'll be fine

:childplease:

they are definitely dangerous to any team

They have big time playmakers on any side of the ball who can step up in prime time

they might not be young and fresh but Peppers, Urlacher, Briggs, Marshall, Forte & Hester can win you a game against any team in the league
