Is it just me or is Netflix completely falling off?

Its not people just watching anything its that some of the titles will be unfamiliar if you don't log onto the site every 3-4 days where you would see their new releases pinned and promoted at the top of their home page.. and then of course the next week will be a new release taking its spot. Plus there's no outdoor billboards or ads on regular tv stations for their mid-tier releases which is different than how we came up watching movies.
I don’t need that, I’m saying some people are the type to click on some shyt and gladly watch it regardless of quality, etc. I’m not, it has to be a good show or movie for me to give it my time. Netflix doesn’t have shyt like bloodline, house of cards, OITNB dropping anymore and the licenses/syndicated shows ain’t ones I fukk with. Hulu Max and Prime actually got better libraries there. The only thing I’ll randomly fire up on Netflix and give a chance to is random comedy specials, it’s hit or miss but that’s the only genre I can just try something for the hell of it

Lowkey you kind of could seen this coming eventually. Disney+ looks to be on a pace to take the top spot. I could argue that for Hulu as well.

I hear you but what you're saying is subjective as well. No doubt Netflix puts out some bullshyt shows and movies without question. In the Netflix thread it's pretty much all about weeding out the trash from the good shyt. Everyone pretty much has at least two streaming services or more theses days so if something is being mentioned its either worth your time or stay away-don't bother. With all the content floating there's no need to sit through mid or trash shows & movies anymore. You not a fan of them and that's fine. They're akin to Trader Joe's imo. They make their own shyt and you just have to find your favorites while also trying to discover new shyt. There's a lot of complaints about no content in the Disney+ and Prime threads. Those threads aren't even stickied and neither is Hulu. HBOMax is the favorite right now that's because of their stellar catalog as well as the Warner Bros catalog. Outside of Judas Black Messiah and a couple shows they haven't really killed it with actual new shyt either. But with all these services its great that you have the option to take a chance on something and if you're not feeling it then it's on to the next show or movie simply with the press of a button. Far cry from when we took a chance on something at the video rental, took it home and it was trash, then mad about the cost and the fact you had to burn gas and time to take it back up there. But if you feel one of the services sucks completely then get rid of it. Lots of choices theses days.

They just release so much shyt of varying quality the actual good stuff they have gets buried. But come on, there is always something to watch on Netflix.
Currently watching:
The Crown
Lupin
Kim's Convenience (me and my wiz recently discovered this and love it)
The Last Blockbuster
Still catching up on Greenleaf

They may be in a lull if having a show that's like water cooler everyone is watching right now but those type of things have ebbs and flows they will hit a lick sooner or later.

Hbo has a lot of current series I’m into, even with the covid pause I can look forward to insecure, succession, Barry, righteous gemstones, their various miniseries plus the first run movies (when they hit cable, most of them don’t go to Netflix). Plus they have so many dope older shows - sopranos, wire, boardwalk, etc some I’ve seen and some I’m still looking forward to watching

hulu has a great catalog of network and basic cable shows, they allow me to watch shows that we’re once super popular that I never watched during their OG run

prime - they have some decent stuff too but I also will rent exactly what I want from them, something I can’t do on Netflix.

I’m not here to argue Netflix fell off for everyone else, but Netflix has been trash for me. I could easily subscribe one month a year to check the 3 programs I want to see and bounce
