Is it just me or is Netflix completely falling off?

To me its the planet fitness of streaming...”didnt get to the gym this month, meh its only 10 bucks so whatever” :yeshrug:

ill watch netflix when a new season of flash is there or a new documentary that im interested in (even tho all the new docs seem to drag shyt out way too much and circle back on things). Im pretty well fed with HBO/hulu tbh, those are the go to apps for me.

18 bucks here in Canada :beli:

Covid drought bruh. You gotta remember production stopped completely almost an exact year ago so there's a huge gap of stuff that was slated to come out Feb -whenever thats not available yet. Plus financing.
All the streaming services have been in droughts for the past couple months when it comes to content.

But like I say in all streaming threads complaining about them...they're not mandatory cancel if its not what you think its worth. Its really that simple :heh:

Dubs only work for me if they have an accent or make it sound like they're from that country. Can't have shyt like Barbarians where the dub actors sound like regular Americans off the street even though they're suppose to be in ancient Rome

I feel like there hasn’t been anything worthwhile watching in months. I’m close to cancelling at this rate.
Seems like they make all their original content based on algorithms of what gets watched the most. So it’s been nothing but lifetime level movies of some woman getting stalked or abused, a sh1tty teenage love story, a documentary/movie mash up of a big recent news story, some how to make a murderer type murder mystery docuseries, and other trash I can’t think of at the moment.
Meanwhile HBO max and even Disney plus seem to have all the interesting original content lately.
I can’t be the only one who’s seeing this.

No it's legit some mid right now. I might have to drop it.

Netflix is still King to me.

They’ve long since been on that quantity over quality wave, so while their highest points haven’t matched the highest points of the others lately, I’m more likely to throw on Netflix than any of the others on any given night.

I don’t get the HBO hype. I do if it’s movies, I guess, because I haven’t been watching too many movies lately and don’t care much about the vastness of their older movie catalog. But are folks really lauding HBO for TV series? I can’t think of a single great HBO Max series. Most of their great series I watched on HBO (as a longtime subscriber) before HBO max launched, so I’m not counting that since I’m not going to watch those on a given night.

Hulu is good for network series without commercials, but Hulu originals? :patrice:

Amazon Prime has actually been my second in line lately. :yeshrug:

Hulu with no ads and HboMax have been keeping me fed. One has FX, the other has the Criterion Collection. I usually discover something from there everyday while Netflix barely has any movies that were made before 2000 and they're mostly tentpoles. Plus I've become weary of the "tv show but it's actually a 10 hr movie" model that they currently have. Their big benchmark series is blatant Walter White cosplay

This. And I can’t be bothered to listen to dubs so I gotta watch it with subtitles and have to give it my full attention
yeah i prefer to watch them in their original version as well.

my girl won't though, so i watched a few dubbed episodes of lupin with her (i already watched it in french before) and i was pretty shocked at how good the dubbing is these days though.

shyt is kinda spooky.
