I could respect that, but if we're being 100, they're from the Bronx. They were talking like that on Twitter- before the fame, on Complex, Podcast, MTV 2 and now Vice Land. One of the best things about them is they didn't become overly-sanitized as they moved up the business ladder. They managed to keep the core of most of their jokes and the show the same since the Twitter days.

But like I said, I see what you mean. Complex and Vice are exploitative, and really quick to dissociate themselves when shyt hits the fan. If Revolt were properly run, it'd be the ideal place for a lot of current-content creators to go.

Ak was really getting emotional?

I feel like this Everyday Struggle shyt is blown out of proportion. The show was cool for the culture but highly flawed. Akademiks lacks knowledge/culture and caters too much to the weirdo crowd and Buddens is flabby and doesn’t do his due diligence on a lot of topics, projects, artists. Nadeska can’t even get a word in at times, they spend too much time discussing certain things and aren’t the best interviewers. It’s not to say there wasn’t good fukkery and some good discussions and interviews but the show was flawed and was gonna run outta legs eventually it would get stale.

If they really offered Budden $200,000 to do this show and he didn’t take it that’s on him. Complex is a huge media company how did he not expect to do advertising like he had to do for Nike and Spotify? That’s what all these media nikkas do.

The show isn’t that hot to warrant the Stephen A. Smith-esque salary that Budden thinks he deserves. Budden has never played by the rules of the industry whether it’s rapper on Def Jam or media person on Complex.

The popularity of the show on this site is perplexing tbh. Ak and Buddens are two unlikable mofos who had shytty opinions. The fact that there are several threads revolving around these nikkas is headscratching

If you think 1 view on YouTube has the same value as one view on ESPN, network TV, or even a basic cable network like VICELAND, then you're delusional. Nobody cares about how many viewers you're getting on Twitch or Youtube; the advertiser dollars are the most important thing. That's why TV ratings will always translate to more dollars and more exposure. That's why D&M are getting late night invites to the Tonight Show and major magazine covers and Nike deals.
