They were on Complex wayyyyyyyyy before Ak, have a successful podcast, and were doing shyt for MTV 2, once again, before AK. Unlike Ak, their show is on an actual network. They do not need Ak for anything, because they are far more relevant than he is, and don't just interview rappers who are promoting something.

Granted, I think Desus and Mero are bad at interviews too, but they're far better than AK was when Nadeska and him had to take the reigns.
