With two flops street fighter 5 and marvel vs capcom infinite. Do you think capcom should pass these franchises over to Arcsys since they seem to be running the 2d fighter lane now.

Sf5 was rushed out for the pro scene.

It was a commercial flop but its not like it took a bunch of money to make. And they've probably made a ton on the whole dlc/seasons/content since then.

MvCi looks to be a flop commercially as well, but its an amazing game, gameplay wise and that's something that everyone agree's on.

But no Xmen and a terrible art style plus the back lash from SF5..... yeah rip.

Simply put if MvCi would have used a different art style or at least had 1 or 2 xmen the whole vibe of the game would be different.

But again Dlc and the pro scene will always keep those games relevant.

Side note: marvel is actually selling well in japan...which is unusual.

Most revered...Sure.

Most popular though? :usure:

Some don't want to admit but we are living in an Mortal Kombat/Injustice world now.

Nah unless you talking about numbers sold

injustice/MK and tekken sell tons of copies but competitively speaking people play those games like 8 months to a year then never touch them again.

What else could I be talking about. :pachaha:
true, but Street fighter and the Vs games have never sold like Tekken and Mk games to be honest. Its just that the gap is getting wider and wider now.

Which blows mind that those games can't draw the competitive numbers that capcom games can with all the millions of copies they sell.

Capcom's legacy is simply too strong. The best fighting game players will always make their home on SF.

lmao, Street Fighter on ESPN, nobody even plays mortal kombat x anymore, and injustice is trash, its for people who don't play fighting games and want a shytty story mode

215 Uptown!
People still calling SFV a flop is mind boggling.

No it didn't meet sales expectation (Which it's only off by a couple thoushand. Really not as bad as people think it is)

But they more then made up for that with the money they are making from Esports. MVCI will be the same way. The days of copies sold meaning everything are over.

SFV had 2 years of dlc with a 3rd year on the way,. Do yall REALLY think they would still be supporting that game when it's not beneficial for them??
