one of the few artists who could actually make me feel his music, like having a reall effect on me. Peaceful Journey helped me a lot when at times when i was young
Whoa if u were listening to music and were aware of music at that time you would understand how great Heavy D was he was a top draw when he was poppinHeavy D was nice but he spent too much time rhyming over New Jack Swing beats. A lot of his music was mad corny
Heavy paved the way for BIG to be successful. He was also very instrumental in the success of other rap groups and the careers of others in Hiphop.

You in Minnesota giving your opinion on 2 old skool eastcoast/NY rappers but you entitled to your opinion. When Heavy used to do shows he would bring Big out on stage to rock the mic with him. Jones Beach Greek picnic, for example, he brought him out on stage to rock 'party and bullshyt'. Heavy D made being a fat rapper sexy/ cool which was an extra component to add to his skill as a rapperWhy cause he was fat? 2 totally different rappers. I don't think Heavy D paved the way for BIG at all.
I remember those years well. He was cool and all but compared to who else was out at the time he was corny as hellWhoa if u were listening to music and were aware of music at that time you would understand how great Heavy D was he was a top draw when he was poppin
New Jack Swing was definitely hot but it was better when it was strictly R&B. Those hip hop songs over those New Jack Swing beats were wack as hell and was the main reason the west coast was on top at the time. It took Nas, Big, and the Wu to bring it back?? New Jack Swing was hot at the time. It fit like a hand to a glove
To each his own but at the time your opinion was in the minorityI remember those years well. He was cool and all but compared to who else was out at the time he was corny as hell
My opinion definitely wasn't in the minority which is why that gangsta shyt was 10x more popular. It took acts like the Wu and Big to bring NY back becuz the west coast took overTo each his own but at the time your opinion was in the minority
Breh in the late 80s early 90s he had 2 #1 billboard soul albums and 2 top 20 billboard albums...the nikka was a heavy hitter in the hip hop world and had a huge following...not just anybody raps with MJMy opinion definitely wasn't in the minority which is why that gangsta shyt was 10x more popular.
