You gotta be really into science to appreciate it, friend. They were probably entertained by the Man of Steel.

:russ: I jested.
Being into science is so not a prerequisite to appreciating this movie.
It's scientific inaccuracies were pointed out by Neil deGrasse Tyson on his Twitter feed. He liked the movie but couldn't help nitpicking some stuff:

Cuaron's response: "This is not a documentary. It is a piece of fiction." So that ends that.

Meanwhile, Buzz Aldrin, who has actually been in space, was very impressed with the movie.

"the visuals the visuals" :deadhorse::facepalm::rolleyes:

98% of movies with great "visuals" gets hyped up by y'all and it turns out being a huge let down when i go see it. i'll wait until this comes out on dvd.

Several of my family members seen it over the weekend and not one of em liked it. I thought they were gonna come back raving about it. They just said don't see it wait till video.
You guys are missing out if you don't see this in theaters. I hate to be one of those guys who says a movie is meant to be seen at the theater, but this is one of them. Go and make your own judgment on it.

This is the epitome of the movie-going experience. From start to finish it's great and some of the shots will leave you like. :wow:

Nah, thats terrible advice.

This movie HAS to be watched in theaters and in 3D to get why people are raving about it.

Wow, so you've been @ing me even more than I knew, just using the wrong name. Who knows how many times you desperately tried to get my attention like this. Sad, friend. And no one said anything about "scientific." I specifically spoke about the atmosphere and the visuals. Why are you so desperate?

After Earth was better then this but clowns like @The Real locked themselves into defending this weakness just because they thought it was going to be a sci fi marvel.

Best 3D movie I've ever seen in my life no exaggeration. I could understand why people wouldn't like it if they didn't see in 3D. They should have made this a 3D only movie when I really think about it.

OK
98% was for the special effects.

The story itself is basic. Critics eat actors taking basic stories and over acting them. Bulluck probably didn't go "full retard" with the character and did just enough to let the story flow.

Open Water was low budget and got a 72%. They jacked Open Waters "stranded" plot through in the big budget $$$ for the special effects, added veteran actors a la Tom Hanks in "Cast Away" and

There you go :manny:

And this is the main reason why I will not go see Gravity. Everything I've heard about it screams Open Water and I hated that movie...

I might give it a shot via redbox though:mjpls:
