I'm watching Casino again right now. But yeah Goodfellas is the best. If anyone gives a different answer I can't co-sign, Goodfellas is one of the better directed films of all time. Some of the shots were impossible but Scorsese is a genius. the tracking shots, stedi cam etc. You don't see anything as good as that in any of the other movies discussed here.

I liked it a little more than The Godfather movies, but I would never call it better. The Godfather movies one came first and laid the groundwork and 2 are so complex you can watch them over and over and pick up different things.

I need to give it another shot. I saw it after Goodfellas years ago and felt it was an inferior imitation. The narration, especially Pesci's, was weak. One major reason Goodfellas works is because the narration is so strong. Bad narration can really kill a movie.

Disagree there, Pesci was still excellent.

Personally....Im takin Casino over Goodfellas...but it's subjective. There's no wrong answer IMO.

Best of its era but i think the departed is just as good for a modern take and godfather is better classic.

The original film infernal affairs is much better than departed, much much better, if you watched the original first you will realize that in comparison
