I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
A movie set during the Civil War and made 81 years ago should absolutely conform to our 2020 culture.

:stopitslime:I wonder what's going to happen when the woke community finally gets around to watching The Godfather.

It’s too long and boring. Seen it twice in my lifetimes, once on my own and once for a class. It’s of its time and it’s production speaks to that tenfold. Only worth viewing if you consider yourself a cinephile or are interested in the history of film.

This. Some of the technical shots were amazing and are often emulated and the cast was really fukking good but its a product of its time in that......its really shytty and feels dated and boring. Honestly the only director from this era who could hold my interest was Hitchcock, really timeless films.
