Yea…if he’s ever going to play even a single nba minute, his work is cut out for him.
Media rushed to crown him, then bushed him when he wasn’t the next KD. His pops/camp steered him all over and didn’t help. Idk if penny was the right choice, but that didn’t help either.
Are some of these low scores effort related? Weight and sprints? I know he can hit the weight room and get on a diet plan to bulk up. I know it harder for some players but looks like he’s never touched a weight.
Idk much about improving sprint time. But there has to be some training and drills to improve it out of some 2.3 percentile range.
All that practice taking Kobe level of difficulty contested shots isn’t going to be worth a damn if your fundamentals aren’t there. MFers only see the highlights and forget difficult shot makers like kobe and Steph have extremely sound fundamentals to go with it.

There’s not athletic for the nba and then not athletic dude is a way worse athlete than SLO MoWe all know he’s not athletic

A basic review is that he has the measurements of regular Coli breh that goes to gym every week. He also isn't particularly skilled at anything and needs the ball in hands to be effective which aint happening at the NBA level.
So in reality, if you took away his name, he's would be the standard 4 year college, then go play overseas type of pro.

Streaky difficult shot maker who’s overall effort is non existent if he’s not the focal point of the offense. Has a negative wing span, unimpressive athleticism.
Crowned too early and he stopped growing (I think he was like 6’7 as an 8th grader). So a lot of the hype was based on what he could be once 18 years old…as he got older, Talent level caught up. His dad pulled him from school, created his own prep school and ran off anyone with talent that didn’t want to be a part of the Emoni showcase. His skill set is essentially the same now as it was when he was 16, he didn’t advance his game (I.e. creating for others, rebounding, team ball), he didn’t work on building his frame. Mostly him and his camp bought into the hype, believing he was a can’t miss generational talent, creating an arrogance and an ego unwilling to change.
Izzo dodged a bullet…I can’t think of a worse fit, although what bates needed was to actually listen to a coach like Izzo offering constructive criticism.
Dude will probably end up having a segment on 30 for 30 when they decide to do an episode on HS prodigies that didn’t pan out.
