The way he got propped up and then steered by his dad that would have never worked out. There would have been an instant clash between Izzo's and the Bates family's way of doing things. I guess that's why State didn't continue pursuing him once he reopened his recruitment and still had them in the top 5. At that point I guess they felt the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

He can go the Marjon Beauchamp route. Dude was a highly touted prospect, decided to skip college(apparently wasn’t eligible due to grades) and went juco route, after that did a year working out with some trainer hoping to get drafted but wasn’t getting any hype. Jamal Crawford from his hometown of Seattle reached out to ignite people and told them to give him a shot and do him a favor. Now he’s mocked 15-30 in every mock draft. Sometimes u gotta crash and humble yourself but I don’t think Emoni and his pops think they crashed nor are they gonna humble themselves.

Curry, dame, Giannis, Paul George, Ja, kawhai, jokic, all underrecruited and overshadowed in their formative years and are at the top of the game rn. 2010’s was the decade of the overachiever fr fr. Now that I think about it, besides John wall, them legendary mixtape brehs ain’t really live up to potential, most ain’t make or stay in the Leauge.

Dude has a different mentality though I met him with the homies during All Star weekend and he’s a cool dude who just wanted to do everything he could to be there, can Emoni humble his self that much.
