He needs to go to a school where they will develop him with better fundamental and he can make a run to be drafted in 2024. Basically take two seasons to retool, get stronger, and get the stench of this season off of him.
You’re probably right but I’d point out that getting drafted high isn’t about talent it’s about potential. So it’s all a marketing con. Make your package look as good as possible
So while it’d be nice to get better as a player, the #1 job is to trick these folk into getting drafted high and getting your bread. That gives you your first deal and, bc dudes come in the league so young, will likely be enough to get you a 2nd deal based on potential also. You can be 7,8 years into the league before they realize you not that good.
And that’s why with all the options out there I wouldn’t go to college if I’m a top 5ish prospect. At that point it’s a foregone conclusion I’m league, so there’s nothing but downside going to college. You can be exposed and tank your draft spot/money a la Trevon duval, Vernon Carey, Bol Bol. G league or overseas cats seem to maintain their draft value every time (Ie Brandon Jennings, thon maker, Jalen green, Kuminga)
