i like all of them

the first 3 are good in terms of plot and suspense and story arc, i dont know why anybody would say they suk

what makes the books great is the blending of philosophy which gives all the story lines a lot of depth and make you think a lot about humanity and what it means to be human

but after the third book, the story line gets hazy and jumps around a lot, there is a lot of dialogue with few actions, i like it but i can see why a lot of people wouldnt
can't I just watch the movie. I don't feel like reading the book :noah:

The Ender's Game movie was trash...trust me read the book. I have'nt read anything further than the first one but it was really good.

Books like Ender's Game should be a mini series on TV or something and not a half assed movie that does'nt really explain things. But then again they'd probably screw that up too.

Hyperion is light years beyond Dune. On The Fall of Hyperion now, and I just don't see how Dune can even compete. :why:

Frank Herbert
“Governments, if they endure, always tend increasingly toward aristocratic forms. No government in history has been known to evade this pattern. And as the aristocracy develops, government tends more and more to act exclusively in the interests of the ruling class -- whether that class be hereditary royalty, oligarchs of financial empires, or entrenched bureaucracy.”

:wow:

wasn't a bad flick :yeshrug:

Weve spoken about dune before and our opinions lie on the same plane.

Hyperion is a great book, but never will it betray writing anywhere as good or demonstrate complex thought like herbert did in dune
:skip:

You're buggin. Dunes writing is nothing special and at times outright incoherent. Where I thought it shined was plot and the themes. Especially the themes
