I think dlc is ridiculous and a scam seeing how no games out even come near filling up a blu-ray disc. You have a disc with 10 GB of free space and you want me to drop 14.99 on a 300 MB dlc

Dlc that adds new life to kind of old game is great as long as its a decent price. I'm not dropping 60 for a game then dropping 30 for dlc two months later. Dlc prices don't drop like physical disc prices which makes no sense. There's dlc on psn that cost more than the game itself.

The worst of the dlc is the costume packs/extra gun/more money add-on. That's just nickel and diming cheesy.

Yeah I remember when we had this discussion back in 05 of the hamster and exactly everything I said became true. The console publishers would milk the dlc and start charging you for core gameplay thats already supposed to be on disc.

If MS had gone with something other than DVD we wouldn't have this problem or at least gave everyone a big enough hard drive so that you can install the games and not be hurt by multiple discs on the 360. But again this is the same company charging nikkaz to use their own connections to play online and nikkaz thought that was cool...

DLC was alright when it was things I didn't need but would kinda want like extra music, extra costumes, extra stages or things I don't have to need.

Now when they started making: missions, characters, endings and other important things that should have been with the game since day one then I have a problem with it.

not being able to get online for used games/or ID codes is flat out tyrannical

and truthfully the only DLC that i hate is Capcoms, because it always already on the disc.
most DLC doesn't bother me...i think it should all be free or only a few bucks though

I don't have issues with DLC when its like mini expansion packs...fallout 3 already been mentioned. Borderlands 2 also had some good DLC up to date...hours of extra content that adds to the life of the game. Its when you have DLC with character models, extra skins, shyt like that I don't mess with. First day DLC is fukked up too. I'm looking at you ME3

Yeah, I would think so. Gives them room to put out unfinished/broken games and try to sell features that were suppose to be already on disk in the first place. Some companies have the balls to stuff content on the disc and you have to pay to unlock it even after you purchased the game. Pc dlc have been here for a decade before the consoles and they've yet to pull stunts like that.

I dont mind stuff like Fallout and Borderlands expansion DLC, that's cool. I especially like DLC like inFamous: Festival of Blood, Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty, GTA Episodes where the developers created brand new games using the same engine/assets from the finished game and test out new mechanics with a new story and such.

but paying for DLC that is basically part of the story removed from the game(Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed for example) is something I won't pay for.

and I also don't like how some developers have taken costumes, weapons, etc out of games and made it something that you must purchase when it used to be things you'd get for just playing and achieving certain goals in the game. Some exclusive costumes, characters, colors, etc for sale is okay, but there are some devs that take it to the extreme and try to monetize everything about a game that is already $60+.

The best is when they announce a game, and already talk about the DLC that will be available, the game won't be out for a year and you ALREADY talking DLC? They are purposely holding shyt out of games just to sell it at a later date.
