Yeah, I would think so. Gives them room to put out unfinished/broken games and try to sell features that were suppose to be already on disk in the first place. Some companies have the balls to stuff content on the disc and you have to pay to unlock it even after you purchased the game. Pc dlc have been here for a decade before the consoles and they've yet to pull stunts like that.
DLC is good, but only if developers don't get lazy and half ass a game and leave content off the game on purpose for profit
Ultimately I'd say yes. I can almost understand when gamers are charged for new missions(red dead undead, gta gay tony, etc) but charging for characters/costumes that should have been available at launch(capcom, wwe) is bullshyt. At this point there is no incentive to buy capcom fighting games at launch because you know they will come out with an upgraded version in the future.

Yeah I remember when we had this discussion back in 05 of the hamster and exactly everything I said became true. The console publishers would milk the dlc and start charging you for core gameplay thats already supposed to be on disc.
