Should be easier for a running back now more than ever because of the league becoming pass first

Both Simms and Florio said on PFT yesterday that they believe the NFL is heading back to more offensive balance with running backs becoming more prominent. Interesting discussion abd points they brought, basically they said the copycat nature of the NFL is watching the mini-resurgence of the position with Henry, Cook, Chubb, etc. Those guys aren't the mold of the dual threat hybrid backs the NFL has loved the last 5-10 years, even though they could probably do more if asked to, all three are more traditional runners. And watching them is going to prompt coaches abd offense to shift more towards seeking more traditional backs, and using more traditional run schemes, in the years to come. Their point being its still gonna be plenty of passing but rushing and RBs are going to be on the rise again...

Gonna see if I can find the clip!

He has to do it for a bit longer. AD came out the gate being a monster and Tomlinson was all around good for most of his career. I’m talking modern RB’s only. Wasn’t around to see the others. Right now I’d take Henry over Edgerin James, McCoy, Faulk, Ricky W., Holmes, Barber, Portis, Gore but he has to do more to be better than AD and LT. He has the potential though. Even though he’s not a speedster, he fast enough to get past the linemen and linebackers who are the only ones who have a hope in tackling him. Once he gets to the secondary around them 200lb nikkas it’s over. They too little. The only thing I’d question is if his style works when he loses a step and can’t get separation from the front seven anymore. But for right now his game is entertaining af :whew:

I love Derrick Henry. Hate to compare but you forced me to. He doesn’t have the wiggle and the lateral explosiveness of AD. He doesn’t and that’s fine. He’s still an All Time great

Yea, Tomlinson perfected Faulk’s all purpose game while still being good in the run game. Was extremely quick and explosive. Henry is all power and force. Like if you mixed Eddie George’s height and speed with Jerome Bettis’ ability to not go down. Peterson had a bit of both. He had enough speed and quickness to match smaller guys like Faulk or Tomlinson but he was a tank that ran through nikkas too. Honestly, AD is the perfect modern running back. Henry is number #3 right now IMO in terms of guys who played in the last 20 years.

Well ive seen Barry Sanders and LT play, so thats a hell fukking no

I mean, do you even take Derrick Henry over Alvin Kamarra right now ? If you had to draft them both from today ? If you arent the undisputed best RB in the league right now in your prime then how could you make a thread like this ?

Then again this is @CrimsonTider making this thread, how soon the coli forgets this same clinically insane person used to make daily non harlem :dame: threads about shirtless Trey Songz and then blame it on his imaginary wife logging into his account, dating back to SOHH days and early coli days.

But his wiggle is still abnormal for a man his size.

Brandon Jacobs, Leonard Fornette and others wish they had feet like him.
