She paid her dues working in hollywood for a long time. All actors and actress are boosted by being attractive.

Pam had a recurring role on two of the most popular sitcoms of all time. Home Improvement and Beverly Hill 90210. She was famous because she was in those shows, not just because she was pretty.
She got those roles because she was pretty though, i'll give you that.
But she would've just been some random playboy model from page 6 that people forgot about by now if it wasn't for those shows.

But that’s what I’m saying.
This idea of being a celeb with no talent has been brewing for decades.
Social media open the flood gates.

Also, you meant Baywatch, not 90210.
Baywatch mostly hired playboy models.
She was on Home Improvement for 2 seasons but sure.

Also, Kim is an entrepreneur now.
She’s paid her dues in the fashion game for awhile. She started out naked and transitioned to something real, just like Pam did.
Pam had a good agent that got her on TV without being talented. Every role she got was only because she was pretty.
She would be doing what Kim did if she started in the late 2000s.

Celebrity culture isn’t dying, it’s actually gotten worse.

The celebrity culture of the past, where we only hear and see celebs in interviews or in their respective works has now evolved into people having dangerous parasocial relationships with celebs (and regular people in general) due to the increased access and perceived genuineness that people portray on their social media profiles.

The irony of guys like cenat is that without the internet they have nothing.

Sza can play a grand piano or guitar. She can compose music and melodies that people can sing.

Kai REQUIRES a Webcam, capture card, the internet and most fundamentally: electricity.

What Kai cenat and other streamers provide is a simulation of friendship. It's a false intimacy meant to make up for the fact that most games do not have offline multi-player, cities are designed around cars more than ever so kids aren't going out on foot or bike, there are maniacs going out on shooting sprees in public places for no reason and so kids are growing up recognizing the only place that is safe for them is their home.

shyt is actually really depressing to think about. Put a playstation with fast internet, mini fridge, a toilet with a door in a cell and a person will gladly stay in prison if it means they can spend 10hrs a day bullshytting online and gaming.

Somewhat. Anyone with a phone camera can make it big. The mystique of celebrity is gone now that we have social media and people want more authentic connections instead of the curated celebrity.
I don't think this is true. It isn't about authentic connection, people will form that in their head witj whoever they watch on the screen all the time. They just spend more time on social media than actually watching TV or streaming services. So thats who they see and know. I have much younger siblings in their late teens and they literally don't watch tv or any streaming services. They be on YouTube, ig and tiktok, twitch. Celebrity is just how many people know you.
