No, we just gotta accept that to younger people , Kai Cenat is just as famous as a person who wins grammys.

We (millennials) let Kim K into the A list stardom simply for being pretty and having a sex tape. She proved fame was more about engagement than talent. Whoever gets the most attention is the most famous. These streamers are literally professionals at driving "engagement." IE getting attention. Thats all they do.

Celebrity used to be a talent contest that made you popular. now its a popularity contest, that makes you famous.

Basically fame makes you famous not you famous because of being exceptional at anything. Just famous for going viral or having lots of likes/follows. The seeds for this era were planted when Ray J skeeted on an unknown smut and sex tapes went viral. Now you just gotta be a no talent bum with a following to eat.

That Kai dude is extremely corny to me, but his following is huge. It’s smart for celebrities to appear on there. No disrespect to SZA as a big artist, but she not Beyoncé or Rhianna . More exposure is helpful People are still obsessed with that celebrity shyt unfortunately .
To the generation he relate to he is like MTV or any of those cool media spots celebs pooped up to interact. To us it looks weird

No, it's just now you don't have to go through the traditional routes to become a celebrity of sorts. Social media has really opened it up in that regard but now there is no measure of actual ability to even evaluate these folks even though there were ways around that prior (nepotism, sexual favors, etc.) Too many people listen to these folks on really important matters like politics, science and health care not realizing they are probably selling you something especially in these hyper target marketing environments.

Maybe the Kai dude is a celebrity himself and he’s putting celebrities on his platform. This tweet is lowkey a flex for Kai. The worse thing would be if nobody cared that SZA went there.
