The Bay Area is way more expensive than San Diego. SD is actually "cheap" compared to here

Yeah the bay is extremely expensive, and you don't even get much in return. I can understand if you're living in LA, but in the bay unless you're in the city then it sucks.

Because in san diego specifically, you're paying for the quality of life. We have multiple NICE beaches, literally tens of dozens of night spots that are literally smackin ey night of the week, world class museums, parks and cultural centers, beautiful women tumbling out of every spot, and perhaps most importantly the weather is climate controlled by Jesus. Its always a 75-85 degrees, with a calming breeze and low humidity. No hurricanes, tornados, etc.

Point is, when you live out here, who the fck would wanna stay inside, so who cares what your house looks like? In places like Texas, there is lil reason to leave the house. Diego is a city that skews towards a younger demo, so a lot of our economic and social realities reflect that. A nice 1bd in a dope part of city by the ocean will run you about 1000-1200. Definitely worth it, depending on where you're at in life.

NYC is dope for the same reasons minus the good weather....

Not to mention NYC you don't need a car and people won't look at you like if you don't have one.

Damn, its not even that expensive in NY. For 8 bucks you can get TWO cheeseburgers and a medium fries and soda for about 8 bucks here.

$500,000 in Texas will get you this.

Lets be honest here, those homes in Texas are probably in the middle of nowhere and the areas they located in are probably boring as hell


I don't see how people hate on major U.S cities to big up rural areas.... in a major city with high COL, yea you pay a lot for a small apartment or house... but there's so many things to do in said city. Yea in the rural areas you get a better house... but the area is boring. The advantages/disadvantages of the two even themselves out.
