San Fran isn't significantly higher on that rating scale and that is at full growth. Now think, Atlanta is underdeveloped and still has TONS of room to grow and yet is still within range of San Fran. It ain't hard to tell which has a better future.
NY gentrification is seen as a good thing by everyone but poor people. They BRING art and a working class (IT cert crew where yall at). If by art you mean music, then I would agree with that. Soulful music comes out of struggle. And yet, it has fallen down the list of great cities for the past few years...
Rich technocratic fantasies proposed by San Fran billionaires doesn't mean it will happen. Tons of industry is moving to Atlanta just because it's significantly cheaper. It's already set in motion. Keep living out that twilight.
They are parasites. Read up on the New York gentrification thread if you need to be clued in on how these maggots destroy art, history, working classes, etc
Atlanta is the home of MLK Jr, pretty much most forms of American music originated here, civil war history, Center for Disease Control, best foods, strip clubs, the next LA as far as the movie industry is concerned
NYC is dope for the same reasons minus the good weather....
Not to mention NYC you don't need a car and people won't look at you like if you don't have one.
Damn, its not even that expensive in NY. For 8 bucks you can get TWO cheeseburgers and a medium fries and soda for about 8 bucks here.
Lets be honest here, those homes in Texas are probably in the middle of nowhere and the areas they located in are probably boring as hell
I don't see how people hate on major U.S cities to big up rural areas.... in a major city with high COL, yea you pay a lot for a small apartment or house... but there's so many things to do in said city. Yea in the rural areas you get a better house... but the area is boring. The advantages/disadvantages of the two even themselves out.
