It’s low hanging fruit to hate Cade. Anybody that’s been watching him since he said point blank the team was bad will see he isn’t the issue.

Hating on Cade is retard talk. That’s like when people was calling Grant a flop for not having playoff runs with Terry Mills & Lindsey Hunter

Wouldn’t hurt at all. I never want to see Alec Burks suit up again
Brings cats from the G-League instead of vets out of league who are for a reason. If those dudes were good and could contribute, then they’d be on a roster now.

Wall is washed and all bringing him in will do is enable even more bad habits and poor shooting.

Cade is more like a number 2 but still the Pistons shouldn't be THIS bad. Maybe they can find some help with a trade of Ivey cuz I don't think they are to high on him even though I don't know why. To me he has the highest ceiling on the team.

Hopefully this team scared others off from tanking. I was always against us doing it
Tanking wasn’t the problem. The players they picked were. Haliburton instead of Hayes. Sharpe or Mathurin instead of Ivey. Just two picks and this is a completely different team that makes sense

I don't wanna hear this.

Everyone was too busy clowning Sacramento for passing Ivey up for a player who filled a need in Keegan Murray.

I even get trying to take someone else's bust (pause) and hoping to strike gold. Bad teams do this as they should. The Nets basically resuscitated themselves getting scrap heap parts from other teams and making a team decent enough to cause KD and Kyrie to wanna join. Detroit was tryna do that, but in doing so they're creating the Clusterfukk City Magic prior to Banchero

I watched a bunch of Ivey, he's an NBA player but he's absolutely NOT a PG which is what the Pistons desperately need. He's got Russel Westbrook syndrome in that he only knows one speed with the ball in his hands and he's not looking to distribute the ball, he's looking for his shot.

The Pistons are bad because they have no PG, they can't shoot 3s, they can't defend 3s, they don't play team defense, they turn the ball over too much. The GM has built a team that has no chance to win consistently in 2024-era NBA.

Tanking wasn’t the issue; not committing to the talent you actually have was. They kept trying to find diamonds in the rough and reclaiming players who the league has written the book on already
Wiseman and Bagley alone is 25 million dollars that could have either went to keeping Saddiq Bey (who isn’t all that but he fits as a shooter) or to some combination of wings.

Troy Weaver has filled our team with Guards and Bigs. Our only wings are Bojan who is 35 and Ausar who can’t shoot for shyt.

Oubre
DFS
Bridges

Its wings that have been available that they just kicked the can down the road on.

We have like 50 million dollars tied to Joe Harris, Monte Morris, James Wiseman, and Marvin Bagley. Add Killian’s 10 million. Add Burks 10 million. That’s over half of our cap space on players who don’t fit or have played like bare naked ass this year or previous.

Not to mention Monty Williams and his need for all bench lineups.

I think this is a huge issue too. They have like 9 or 10 guys on their roster who were lotto picks:

Cade
Ivey
Burks
Wiseman
Thompson
Duren
Knox
Hayes
Bagley

I think Weaver is trying to figure out a gameplan where he takes on these reclamation projects and turns them into usable parts but it's just not working
