Is “Cade Ball” the real problem with the Pistons?

Easier said than done. Only a couple of guys come straight into the league as a #1. It usually takes 2-3 years before a guy becomes a #1. Cade could be "that guy a year to two from now with better shooters around him.
Yeah, but that's why I say you don't want to give the keys to your franchise over prematurely either. Suns would love right now to have a Luka/Booker backcourt.

I'm just saying if a phenomenal point guard comes the Pistons' way (like Topic this draft) they shouldn't throw out the possibility because they think Cade is the centerpiece. Dude simply ain't a Luka-tier player and shouldn't be valued like that if the right player/deal comes around.

That Thompson twin isn’t bad

Cade is supposedly a elite guard

Bogdan is a good player

Duren is a walking double double

Is Ivey trash already?

I thought killian was having a better year.

Im not gonna act like I watch entire pistons games, NOBODY deserves that torture but i see clips on IG and they look better than last year at least when CADE WASNT playing

Cade can’t make Wiseman effective AT ALL?

Something isn’t adding up
Cade needs help breh. I’m not a huge Cade guy tbh. I think he’s a guy who makes all star four times and is a third option on a contender, but he’s good enough for the Pistons not to be this bad. But the rest of those guys just ain’t good. And worse than that, they’re not smart. They got a bunch of workout warriors who clearly have requisite basketball skills but don’t know how to translate those skills to game situations, mostly cuz of no savvy.

I do like Ausar Thompson though. And Duren is good but he’s been hurt a lot. Bojan has Father Time knocking on the door. Ivey imo can’t play—doesn’t make good shot/drive/pass decisions. Hayes is even worse. I like Stewart but he’s limited. Just not a lot of talent on either end of the court for them.

Dumb roster construction and coaching.

I don't know why their GM is so obsessed with being a 2nd home for NBA busts rather than building a team with right pieces.

No team should be losing 29 in a row in a 82 game season
At the time their drafting seemed elite tho and built for the future. Drafting Cade, then Ivey and Duran, and finally Ansur Thompson was :whew: :lupe:

Never saw this outcome happening tho

Idk much about Ivey but other 3 guys are solid, its just the rest of the roster. Why they have like 5 centers? Where is the shooting? Why did they trade Sadiq Bey, a shooter for Wiseman? Etc. Ultimately Monty will get the blame, he's at fault but he isn't the main problem.

I like their coach as a person...
But.. you gotta get these dudes heads right.

Same with our coach (Billups)
. You gotta win SOME games.. not expecting the play in or anything but.. can't jus be a door mat either

All four are good picks
It’s the rest of the roster as a whole. We have a bunch of guards and bigs with wings being Ausar who can’t shoot, Bojan who can’t defend, and Knox who they had to sign in the middle of the season as he was in the g league

They have way too much talent to be THIS bad. Meanwhile the only one who seems to get a pass and hasn’t changed his play style is Cade. He’s the leader. On paper he is playing well but is he making his teammates better

Ive seen this happen with “Bron Ball” only difference is Cade doesn’t have the power to trade his entire team away mid season :banderas:

and who would come to Detroit after all this anyways :manny:

Maybe Cade has to change, not the Pistons :jbhmm:
I watch a lot of basketball and I've probably watched more Pistons and Lakers games than any other teams this year so far. The Pistons are the least talented team in the NBA. No one other than Cade can create offense. Suprisingly, even Ivey can't seem to get separation consistent enough to be an offensive threat.

Terrible Half Court Offense
Can't shoot - 2nd worst 3 point shooting team in the league
Bad Defensively
