BLM has proven to have value as a rallying cry and attention getter. there is no real leadership, so everybody saying BLM is doing different things in different cities, which is probably for the best

I'm not gonna address the female or trans stuff here, since this forum is incapable of discussing those things. I'd rather talk about Deray and others previewing what's happening now, years ago. The average suburban or inner city white person wants to believe he or she is a good person. Which is why they might donate to the local animal shelter or...buy products they are told represent views that they support. This is why corporations run ads about how they "respect" or "are working towards" aspirational goals. It's why oil companies run ads about what they're doing to tackle climate change. The average white person wants comfort above all else: and in this case, the comfort of knowing whatever you're doing or BUYING is ok because somehow it goes towards helping The Cause.

Virtually every relevant corporation is on the BLM train now. They're donating money, promising things, demanding change, etc. In the grand scheme of things, this means little. Some money will go towards causes or orgs run by white people, and that money will be doled out to SOME black causes. It's the ultimate corporate virtue signal. And people like Deray are assisting it. Just as Sharpton once ran this con, Deray and others are doing it now. You provide your blackness for a paycheck, and in exchange you provide the cover for that average white person to feel comfort knowing...that when he banks with Bank Of America, he's doing his part to help the black community.

Comfort. That's what you're getting. So I ask. What did the protests accomplish? They were quickly subverted - first by the white anarchists, and then by white corporations. Minneapolis is going to defund their police department but is anyone else? What was achieved? What will all the money raised go towards? These are all question marks. This is what happens when you don't have strong leaders rallying people.
