Jankee fans don't like to be independent. The built in scapegoat is A-Rod. It's like some Jankee fans don't like to think and analyze shyt on their own. The NY Post said A-Rod sucks so that's that.
They don't wanna hate on Swisher, he's Mr. ClubHouse.
They don't wanna hate on Tex aka The Pop-Up king because he's a great fielder.
But they are just as poor in the postseason and they don't have a great NY postseason like Boli does...
I wonder if they reupped that contract simply so no one else could sign him, I dunno. That reup always bugged me, but them books gonna be in good shape very soon.

I always assumed the re-up was because at the time he was on pace to break Bonds HR record, and the Yankees wanted the chase (and all the money it would bring in) to be in their stadium
