LOL, Late 80's/90's babies were lucky when it comes to that. Going into those stores were crazy. I only did it a few times but looking back it was just a terrible experience. But it was funny at the same time. What was worst was the ones that did regular movies and porn and the porn section was behind a curtain or some sh!t, lol. So yea Technology isn't all bad, it does make certain things in life easier but I think we have to find a balance before we end up on some "Terminator/Matrix" sh!t. I've always enjoyed Forums cause it was a certain community of folks that just talk about certain subjects. In this case it's a Hip Hop forum. But there are forums for everything. But yea I know the porn industry lost a lot of money but more people are watching porn now than anytime in history thanks to the internet.

Yes the title is an oxymoron but 1st let me just say that I've had time to really think about this and honestly I really don't see the point. It started with Black Planet when I was in college, then it went to Myspace, then it went to Facebook, then Twitter, Then Instagram. So keeping up with your friends and family is cool but it's not about that. It's turned into High School all over again. People beefing on line, People lying about their lives and status to look good. Then when I see my aunts and parents on there or friends parents I'm like really? Mom Dukes? There was a time that me and my friends did things and my parents would never know about it. Now they just need to log on, lol.

Honestly even though I'm a product of the Technological age, I've really become Anti-Social Networking. No I don't need to tell you everything I'm doing and everywhere I'm going. No you don't need to see a photo of what I'm doing day in and day out. If and When I finally have a Kid, No I will not post pictures of my babymoms/wife in the hospital after giving birth. To me the whole thing has gotten out of control and I think people have taken way to far. Also by posting a photo you have put it online forever, nothing can take it down. Remember when we had photo albums and photos use to be an itimate thing between you friend and family? Well that's gone too. Overall It's like some people want to be some celebrity or something. So am I alone? is anyone else tired of Social Networking?

Someone makes a thread like this every week. No its not surprising that a message board regular hates social networking.

Anyways Its a necessity for me (business, arts, social life, ect. )

Deactivated fb a few years ago and never looked back. Twitter is cool for news and sneaker links/deals. I usually check the coli anyway before I do twitter to confirm something went down tho

Yea, like now if you aren't posting pictures people act funny as if they are Entitled to see photos of you. LOL. People actually get upset and sad if someone de-friends them on facebook or Twitter. Like it's not that serious. What I find funny is people have TONS of friends on facebook but they barely know any of these people. They just try to up their "Friend Count" to look important.

I deleted my Facebook three years ago, and I'll never create another one. I don't see the point in any of it. People taking endless amounts of pictures just to create a new album. If the club was so great last weekend why were you taking pictures the whole night? It's lame in my opinion. People always on their phones unable to hold quality conversations face to face. Not my cup of tea at all. Girls look bewildered when they ask about my Facebook, and I tell them I don't have one.

Exactly. It's funny I named this thread "Anti-Social Networking" cause Facebook really makes people Anti-Social. Again I'm cool with Twitter but sadly people use Twitter to talk sh!t or start beef. Like why are you having an argument on twitter? really? Instagram is just very narcissistic but it's more harmless than facebook to me. What happen to calling people on the phone? I use to hate when a friend would put on my page, "I'm going to the club tonight, hit me up". Like why are you telling the world you are going to club? Why didn't you just text me and ask? Most of my "REAL" friends have my phone number, if you don't have my number than you aren't that close to me, sorry. Your spot on with the "Photos" in the club thing. Also I'm fine with baby pictures to an extent. To me I think it's way unnecessary to see a mother after she gave birth, like that's a private moment to me but not on Facebook it isn't.

people on there know little of my life because i talk about sports, music, or popular events on there.

so its possible to use twitter or facebook with giving every detail of your life
