and specifically if you attended one of the many great HBCUs across the nation

Outside of that, I can see how it may be a misss for some.

My friends that went to PWA schools can’t relate to my experience and dont share the same since of pride

This show, in my opinion, captures a moment in Blackness that accentuates progress; even when negative things and themes were addressed, it showed an environment with structure, and gave something to strive toward.

cuz I felt that same feeling when was an undergrad on the yard.

Being away from my family, that was the most protected & positive space I had ever been at that time in my life

I’m up to Ep 19 S1

on my rewatch…. I really appreciate a lot of the show taking place in the dorms or cafe/lounge area.

To all the “school not for me folks” that thinks college life is strictly about education. which don’t get me wrong should be the highest and top priorit.

But them people also don’t get and are missing out on the social aspect of college when class is out or between class.

Being on “they yard” is something in itself they can’t be duplicated. Especially at an HBC.

Most of my fondest A&T memories come from all the Random shyt, like when soph we used to go Freshmen Hunting go to the Freshman dorm just to “play” jump them….. it was around the time of peak NWO, so it was that energy.

I had a steal chair that I used to hit freshmen across their backs with

just stupid shyt like that lol
