Sucker shyt. That's what this exactly is.
Irv Gotti produced "Supa Ugly"? Never knew that. The beat is from Dr. Dre's "Bad Intentions" though.
Yes it is. Here’s how it went
Jay was depressed when he heard Ether. Irv was saying that everywhere they went for days out in public nikkas was passing by in cars yelling “fukk JAY-Z!” At him.
So Irv gassed Jay to make Supa-Ugly to
Get him out of his funk. He told him which beats to use and was there in the studio with him while he decided it.
Later on Irv felt like Jay was trying to play him because he was trying to get Hov and Ja on Tour together and Jay was being non-commital. Then Jay goes out on tour with some other acts and wouldn’t answer his phone calls. So Irv was like “fukk it” and reached out to Nas to try to get him on Murda Inc.
Steve Stoute said that Nas was VERY close to signing to Murda Inc but Irv was too wild and too loud and turned Nas off with his attitude.
On the subject of Fat Joe. Nas didn’t need Fat Joe to help him against Jay-Z. I’m sure his support HELPED but it wasn’t needed. Nas didn’t recruit none of these nikkas to diss Jay. He handled Jay HIMSELF. Nas took on Jay, the entire Roc, AND Dip Set dolo (with a little assistance from The Bravehearts) Fat Joe was in the Made You Look Video AFTER the fact. Irv was trying to recruit Nas to the Inc AFTER the fact. These people want to insert themselves into the narrative like they were there in the thick of it when most of their so called support happened AFTER the fact.
This whole “You owed me a phone call” shyt is bullshyt. NAS battled HOV. Not Nas & Terror Squad. Therefore if Nas wants to make peace with Jay, then that is 100% his decision. Nas got Ten Million Dollars from Def Jam because he was an artist whose eight previous albums had gone Platinum. Not because Fat Joe was with him in the studio writing lyrics. Nas has Mass Appeal, Queens Bridge Ventures, Sweet Chick, and 12AM Run because he invested wisely alongside Anthony Selah. Not because Fat Joe is his accountant.
Fat Joe need to sit down somewhere and be Humble
