Damn, I wouldn’t want to be friends with some of ya’ll dudes. Cant even change your perspective for a moment.
All I was saying was that given the circumstances, I can see how Joe would feel a way about the situation. Especially if we are taking what he said on his podcast at face value.
Let me be clear, Nas didnt owe him anything. But it would have been courteous to send a message once the beef was squashed. Especially knowing the history that Joe and Jay have. Nas used that history to have Joe stand by him in the beef.
I only brought up past stuff with 50, Mega and Lake just to show a pattern Nas has with communication problems. He could be the type that gets at you when he needs something but then is MIA when something is needed return.
In Lake’s case, if we are to believe him, Nas called Lake (the street dude) to a meeting when he had to meet with high profile street people but didnt join Lake, when he called Nas (the music/industry figure), in a meeting with record executives.
Anyways, this isnt a big deal, but we are all on a hip hop forum and the Nas vs Jay Z beef and reconciliation was a major moment in hip hop with a lot of moving parts and spin off stories. So it is still semi interesting today.
Something I found interesting: Fat Joe and Irv’s name keep coming up. Its funny that pre-beef it was Irv and Jay all day and Nas and Fat Joe/TS were clearly comrades.
But post beef you dont see Irv with Jay much (if at all) and you never see Nas and Joe together but you see Nas with Irv and Joe signed to Jay...and Nas and Jay are the best of friends.
